Online Home Decor System in Java using JSP and Servlet, allows a user to order decors online. This project is designed for both third-year and final-year students and is available with source code.
Home Interior System Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. single Admin and multiple User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the bookings, status of projects undertaken, and management of the system. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, and do bookings online.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
Home Interior System Abstract
Designing your home interiors add beauty to the house. They make your home aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and attractive. Home Interiors designs not only add a glamourous look to the house but also make your home spacious. In today’s world, leading a stylish yet sustainable lifestyle plays an important role in people’s life.
Want to revamp either your kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, space-saving furniture, wardrobe, or entire home, Interior designers help to effectively utilize the space in the home making the best use of the available space. The interior design business is flourishing and having an online system to manage the business can prove to be beneficial.
For that Codebun has designed a Home Interior project in java, which has two main roles i.e Admin and User. Admin being the primary user. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, update charges of the design plans available, View/Confirm/Cancel bookings done by customers, View/Confirm/Cancel meetings with the customers, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Users.
Users can register themselves, book a meeting with the interior designers, book the interior design plans for their home, and make payments online. Users can find detailed information about home interior design plans on the system after logging in. Users can not only choose from the available design plans but also can choose to personalize them.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Home Interior System.
- It maintains the record of home interior plans/designs, Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.
Modules in Home Interior Project
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage interior designers and their availability, View/Confirm/Cancel meetings scheduled with customers, can manage customers, can check payments, can check the status of projects undertaken, etc.
User Module– In this module, a user can register themselves first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number.
Category- In this module, Admin can categorize Home Interior design plans accordingly.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.
Booking Module: In this module, Users can book a home interior design plan for their home. Users can also book a meeting with designers to discuss the design plans and other details.
Interior Designers: In this module, Admin can manage all the interior designers and also, can check their availability for the new project.
Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, Address, Order history, and payments can be managed by Admin in this module.

Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can View/Edit/Delete design plans into the system.
- Can View/Edit/Delete categories into the system.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking done by the User.
- Can check payments done by User.
- Can change prices of design plans available.
- Can manage users.
- Can manage interior designers.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for a design plan from a specific category.
- Users can do the booking.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
