Online Tutor Portal System In Spring Boot and Hibernate With Source Code

The Online Tutor Portal System project in Spring Boot and Hibernate is configured to computerize the management process of finding an online tutor. This project is designed and available with source code for 2nd/3rd/final year IT Users for their college projects.

It is built to support all the functionality related to managing an online tutor portal. We will discuss each aspect of this project in detail for enhanced understanding.

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin, Tutor, and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, managing tutors, and users, updating any details related to the portal, etc. On the other hand, Users can register themselves and can log in to the system, search for tutors, contact tutors, etc.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the frontend, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Online Tutor System Abstract

Online tutoring offers a lot more flexibility and convenience than traditional tutoring. The online tutoring system eliminates the inconvenience caused by traveling for attending classes, as it can be done virtually from anywhere as long as one has access to the Internet.

Codebun has designed this project in spring boot and hibernate to help users to find tutors online. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel user registration. Admin will be responsible for maintaining tutors & user member databases. Admin will be responsible for adding, removing, and updating tutors and their details on the portal.

A user has to register themselves on the portal with their name and id proofs. After logging in users can find tutors and view their profiles. Users view details about tutors and their qualifications, experience, etc. Users can search for a tutor online according to their preference. Users will be able to find tutors either by courses they opt for, subjects name or streams of their choices, fees charged, etc. Users can book or contact the tutor for further discussion and demo sessions. Also, Users can directly be notified of any update regarding the tutor. Users can view courses for which tutors are available.

After choosing the tutor, users will be able to view the options for various courses/subjects/streams which they choose from, the timetable scheduled by the tutor, the duration of a course, etc.

On the other hand, a tutor can view users’ details, can view/confirm/cancel appointments with users, schedule classes for users, schedule or conduct exams, and upload the results and marks of each and every User. The tutor will be able to track Users’ progress.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Tutor Portal.
  3. It maintains the record of users, tutors, courses, subjects, and so on.

Modules of Online Tutor Portal

Admin Module- Admin can register & login/log out of the system. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system. Admin will be allowed to add/remove any user and tutor member. Admin will be responsible for maintaining user & tutor member databases.

User Module- All the operations related to the user can be managed in this module. After registering, tutors can log in/log out of the system. After logging in users can find tutors and view their profiles. Users view details about tutors and their qualifications, experience, etc. After selecting the tutor, users will be able to view the course/subject/stream they chose, the timetable scheduled by the tutor, the duration of a course, etc.

Tutor Module- Tutors can register on the system. After registering, tutors can log in/log out of the system. Tutors can view users’ details, can view/confirm/cancel appointments with users, schedule classes for users, schedule or conduct exams, and upload the results and marks of each and every User. A tutor will be able to track Users’ progress. Tutors can maintain their profile.

Admin:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can View and Add/EDIT/Deletenew Tutor into the system.
  • Can View and Add/EDIT/Deletenew Users into the system.
  • Can manage Users and Tutor members.
  • Can send notifications to Users and Tutor members.
  • Can manage the“MY Profile”.
  • Can change password.

Users:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can Search/View tutor.
  • Can view courses available.
  • Can give tests and exams conducted by Tutors.
  • Can view results, Timetables, exams, marks, and so on.
  • Can upload assignments.
  • Can pay fees to the tutor.
  • Can manage the“MY Profile”.
  • Can change password.

Tutor:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can view User.
  • Can schedule classes and demo classes for users.
  • Can view and add Timetables, results, marks, study materials, etc.
  • Can upload assignments.
  • Can send important messages to Users.
  • Can manage the“MY Profile”.
  • Can change password.
