Catering Service Booking System Project in Java
It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the primary control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the booking of catering services. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, view and book Catering Services, view packages, etc.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
Catering Service Booking System Abstract
Catering Services are an important part of any event and need professionals, who assist with the planning and management of the event. This booking system will allow a user to find a Catering Service and book online.
Codebun has designed a Catering Service Booking project in java using JSP and Servlet, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can add/remove/update any details related to the system, update prices of the catering service plans, menus, and other services, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by Users, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Users.
Users can register and then book Catering Services, make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about plans on the system after logging in.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Catering Service Booking System.
- It maintains the record of Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.
Modules in Catering Service Booking System Project
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage Catering Services, menus, can check payments, etc.
User Module– In this module, a user can first register using their name, contact number, and address and manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number.
Booking Module- In this module, Users can book Catering Services.
Category- In this module, Admin can categorize Catering Services, plans, packages, etc accordingly.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.
Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the particular catering service staff is available or not.
Catering Service Module- In this module, Admin can manage the Catering Service and its staff.
User Roles of Catering Service Booking System
Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User
Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage categories in the system.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by the User.
- Can check payments done by User.
- Can manage and check the availability of Catering Services for events.
- Can manage event staff.
- Can change prices of service packages.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for a Catering Service.
- Can check plans and packages.
- Users can book Catering Services.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
