Bakery Shop Management System in Spring and Hibernate

It is a single-role application project i.e. Admin, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

This web application is developed to manage the activity of the bakery. Here, the basic idea is to develop an application where all the products and sales are managed properly. In this application, Admin has the responsibility to add products, sell, view sales reports, manage payments, etc.

 The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Bakery Shop Management System Abstract

Sometimes, managing stores with a manual approach can be a tiresome process. To improve the whole process it is necessary to have an automated system. Bakery Shop management is an implementation of storing, tracking, and maintaining bakery stores. In turn, this helps the business owner keep track of the sales, and profitability of a business.

Therefore, we on Codebun have developed Bakery Shop Management System Project in spring boot & hibernate to handle all the processes of adding products, viewing sales, etc. This application has a single user i.e. admin who will manage the overall application. This web application is developed to manage the activity of a bakery. The important objective is to have an application where the bakery shop owner can add products, view total sales, etc.

Admin will be responsible for updating the system with the information related to the bakery. Admin can categorize the bakery products according to the types, price, etc. Admin can generate bills for customers and keep a record of sales. Admin can also check the availability of products and can add/remove stocks from the system.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application to the admin.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Bakery Shop Management System Project where the information is managed properly.
  3. It maintains the record of product, the customer sales detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.

Modules of Bakery Shop Management System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can Add/Remove/Update bakery products, manage categories, details, and availability, can manage users, payments, etc.

Admin can add/remove stocks. Admin can track the sales activity and also, the growth of the shop.

Category: In this module, bakery items can be categorized accordingly.

Stock Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether a particular bakery item from a specific category is available in stock or not. Admin can Add/Remove/Update stocks with the help of this module.

Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, and Purchase history can be managed with this module.

Supplier Details: All the operations related to suppliers can be managed in this module.

Sales Records: This module will allow the admin to keep records of the number of items that have been sold.

Payment Module: All the payment-related operations can be managed in this module. Admin can generate bills for the customers with the help of this module.

 Here, we have an admin who will manage the overall application. Let us discuss the functionality:

Admin

  • Admin can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can Add/View/Update/Delete bakery products from the system.
  • Can Add/View/Update/Delete the name of the product.
  • Admin can generate bills.
  • Admin can generate sales reports.
  • Can manage all the sales history.
  • Can VIEW all payment history.
  • Admin can manage “My Profile”.
  • Can change password.
