Error Description:
Failed to configure a DataSource: ‘url’ attribute is not specified and no embedded datasource could be configured.
Reason: Failed to determine a suitable driver class
Solution
Consider the following:
If you want an embedded database (H2, HSQL or Derby), please put it on the classpath.
If you have database settings to be loaded from a particular profile you may need to activate it (no profiles are currently active).
Quick Solution: Add manual MySQL dependencies
First, remove the existing mysql dependency.
<dependency> <groupId>com.mysql</groupId> <artifactId>mysql-connector-j</artifactId> <scope>runtime</scope> </dependency>
Add new MySQL dependency
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/mysql/mysql-connector-java --> <dependency> <groupId>mysql</groupId> <artifactId>mysql-connector-java</artifactId> <version>8.0.33</version> </dependency>
Note: Please make sure, <version> should be specified into added dependency this is the only difference between them. Next, Quick update the maven and rerun the application.
