The College Event Management project is designed in Spring Boot and Hibernate with Source Code. This project is designed to automate the process of booking a venue for college events and managing the whole process online.
College Event Management System Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the booking of venues, planning College Events, catering services, and management of the system. On the other hand, users can register, log in using the login credentials, view and book the venue, view event packages, and plans, etc. Here, users are basically College authorities that are going to book venues and other services for the College events.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
College Event Management System Abstract
Management of College Events & functions is a hectic process, right from seminars, gatherings, and farewells. There are thousands of students that are needed to be handled. An event management system can manage all the processes of an event with ease.
Codebun has designed a College Event Management project in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can add/remove/update any details related to the system, update prices of the event plans & packages, venues, and catering services, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by Users, and so on. Admin can manage its event organizing staff; keep the records of the Users, etc.
On the other hand, users can register and then book the venues for the College Event, explore the venues, make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about the College event plans & packages on the system after logging in.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust College Event Management System.
- It maintains the record of Venues, Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.
Modules in College Event Management System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage venues, and catering services can check payments, etc.
User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and also manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view their booked College Event, payment status, history, etc.
Booking Module- In this module, Users can do the venue and other bookings. Users can mention all the requirements for the College Events in this module while booking.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.
Catering Module- In this module, Users can choose catering services available as per their interests and choices.
Venue Module- This module will help the Admin list and manage all the venues for small and large gatherings available for the College Events. Venue location, size, etc can be updated by Admin in this module.
Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the particular venue for the College Events is available or not.
User Roles of College Event Management System
Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User
Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage categories in the system.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by the User.
- Can check payments done by User.
- Can manage and check the availability of venues for the College Events.
- Can change prices of packages for College Event plans, venues, catering services, etc.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for College event packages available, venues, etc in categories.
- Users can book/cancel venues.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
