Construction Management System in Java using JSP and Servlet with Source Code. This project allows managing all the day-to-day activities of the construction business. Designed for both third-year and final-year students for their college projects, is available with source code.
Construction Management System Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. single Admin and multiple User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the construction management, planning, and management of the system. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, view/add details related to the construction projects, etc.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
Construction Management System Abstract
Construction management is the process of managing construction projects. There are a wide variety of types of construction projects that require construction management in order to be successful. Construction management might be required for a simple home to a large mall & complex, from engineering a dam build to an airport project.
Codebun has designed a Construction Management project in java, which has two main roles i.e Admin and User. Admin being the primary user. Admin can add/remove/update any details related to the system, update project-related information, View/Confirm/Cancel User registration, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Users. Admin can Add/Remove/View data.
On the other hand, Users can register and log in to the system. Users can upload images to the system, and update construction-related information, locations, plot size, distance, etc.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Construction Management System.
- It maintains the record of users and their details.
Modules of Construction Management System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel registration requests by Users. Admin can Add/Remove/View data and update project-related information. Admin can keep the records of the Users.
User Module- All the user-related operations are performed in this module. Registered users can sign in/out. Users can upload images to the system, and update construction-related information, locations, plot size, distance, etc.
Registration Module- New Users can register themselves on the portal with the help of this module.
User roles of Construction Management System
There are two types of users that directly interact with the application 1) Admin 2) Users
Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage registration requests by Users.
- Admin can Add/Remove/View data.
- Can manage projects.
- Can manage users and their details.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can Add/Remove/View data.
- Can upload images to the system.
- Can change password.
