Human Resource Management Project in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MYSQL. It is designed for both third-year and final-year students for their college projects and is available with source code. This is a web application developed to manage human resource activity through an online medium.

Human Resource Management Project in Spring Boot and Hibernate

This is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin, & Employee where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the registration, all the activities of employees, management of the system, etc. On the other hand, employees can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, manage profiles, keep a record, track the employee and their active time in the organization, etc.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Human Resource Management Project Abstract

Human Resource Management helps in monitoring the employees of an organization. The main objective of it is to monitor the work activities to ensure that they are providing high-quality services to take the business ahead.  It also secures and manages employees’ personal and work-related information.

Human Resource Management is an important part of an organization. It will not only help the company to manage its employee salary, and project details but also will help to keep transparency among employees.

Codebun has developed a Human Resource Management Project in spring boot & hibernate to provide employees a portal to manage all its activity. Here, it is built to support multi-user. Admin is the main user of this application who will assign projects, assign appraisals to employees. And another user is the employee of the company who will view these details.

Admin can Add/Remove/Update employees to the system. Admin can look after employees’ queries and complaints.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application to the admin and employees.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Human Resource Management Project where the information of employees is managed properly.
  3. It maintains the record of employees, and employee’s salary detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.

Modules of Human Resource Management Project

Admin Module- Admin can log in/log out of the system. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, manage employees, managers, etc. Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and its databases.

Employee Module- All the operations related to employees can be managed in this module. Employees can log in/log out of the system, mark their attendance, can mention arrival/break/leave time, make requests for leaves, etc.

Registration Module- In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, etc.

User Roles of Human Resource Management Project

There are two roles in this application i.e. Admin and Employees. Let us see the functionality of each

1) Admin

  • Admin can log in/log out of the system.
  • Admin can manage “My Profile”.
  • Admin can View/Add/Update/Delete employee details.
  • Admin can View/Add/Update/Delete the salary of the employee.
  • Can Add/View/Update/Delete employee technical skills.
  • Admin can assign projects to a particular employee.
  • Admin can VIEW timesheet filled by an employee.
  • Can View/Accept/Reject leave applications from employees.

2) Employee

  • Can Log In/Log Out of the system.
  • Can mark their attendance.
  • Can make requests for leaves.
  • Can receive any updates for the assigned projects.
  • Update work status.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can change password.
