Museum Ticket Booking System Project In Java Using JSP And Servlet With Source Code

The Museum Ticket Booking system is designed in Java using JSP and Servlet with the source code. This designed project automates ticket booking while managing the whole process online. It is available for both third-year and final-year students for college projects and is available with source code.

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the primary control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the booking of tickets, updating/adding Museums, and management of the system. On the other hand, users can register, log in using the login credentials, view and book the ticket for particular Museums, view ticket prices of the Museums, etc.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Museum Ticket Booking System Abstract

An online museum booking system makes sure users can book museum tickets online. Instead of wandering places to find them when one can book online at their convenience. An online booking system is the best option for booking a ticket to make ticket booking convenient.

Codebun has designed the Museum Ticket Booking project in java using JSP and Servlet, which have two primary roles, i.e., Admin and User. Admin is the primary user who can add/remove/update any details related to the system, update prices of the Museum tickets, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by Users, and so on.

Admin can manage registered users, keep the records of users, etc. Admin can Add/Remove/Update Museums in the system.

Users can register and then book the tickets for the Museum, make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about the Museum on the system after logging in.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Museum Ticket Booking System.
  3. It maintains the record of Museums, Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.

Modules of Museum Ticket Booking System

Admin Module- This module will allow the admin to log in and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage museum details, check payments, etc. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage Museums, and payment information.

User Module– In this module, the user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view/track their booked tickets, payment status, history, etc.

Booking Module- In this module, Users can book the tickets for the Museums. Users can see the details of the current and upcoming Museums.

Category- In this module, Admin can categorize Museums.

Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments.

Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the tickets for a particular Museum are available or not.

Details of User: In this module, the admin will manage User details like a Name, Contact Number, and Booking history.

User Roles of Museum Ticket Booking System

Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User

Admin:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can manage categories in the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel ticket booking.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can manage and check the availability of tickets for the Museums.
  • Can change prices of tickets for Museums.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can search for Museums in categories.
  • Users can book/cancel tickets.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.
