Online Billing System In Spring Boot and Hibernate With Source Code

Online Billing System Project in spring boot, hibernate, and MYSQL. Online Billing System is a web application developed for the final year IT students and is available with the source code.

Online Billing System Overview

This is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

In this application, there are multiple modules such as Admin, User, Payment, Bills, Detail of User Module, etc. Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on users, billings, payments, generating invoices for users, and registering a new user. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, and pay their monthly bills online.

 The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Online Billing System Abstract

The Online Billing System will assist in managing the operations related to billings with more accuracy and efficiency. Online billing systems are proved to be better replacements for the redundant manual billing systems which lacked efficacy in generating and managing bills.

So for this, Codebun has designed an online billing system project in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on users, billings, payments, generating invoices for users, and registering a new user.

Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, generate bills & invoices for the users, and View/Confirm/Cancel registration requests by Users, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Users and their details.

Users can register on the portal using their name, Online number, address, and other valid details and documents, pay online, download bills & invoices, etc. Users can find detailed information about the calculated charges & taxes included in the bills, pending bills, etc on the system after logging in.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Billing System.
  3. It maintains the record of Users, Payments, & history, etc.

Modules in Online Billing System 

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in and manage the system and its functions. Admin can generate bills & invoices for the user, manage existing users, View/Confirm/Cancel registration requests, manage bills & payments, etc. Admin can send billing & payment reminder emails to registered users in case any user has failed to pay their bills on time.

User Module– In this module can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in/log out of the system. Users can view their bills and data usage, payment status, history, etc.

Registration Module- Users can register first using their name, contact number, address, and other details.

Billing Module- In this module, operations related to bills can be managed.

Payment Module- All the payment-related operations can be managed.

Download Module- Users will be able to download bills & invoices in this module.

Details of User- Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, Address, Online number, bills, & payment history can be managed by Admin with this module.

Admin:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can manage users in the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel requests by the User.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can manage User details.
  • Can generate bills & invoices.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can pay bills online.
  • Can download bills & invoices.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.
