Online Book Shop System designed project in Spring Boot and Hibernate along with the source code. This project is designed for both third-year and final-year students and is available with source code.

Online Book Shop System Project in Spring

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the primary control over the system that will handle the overall application. It has multiple modules like Categories of Book, Price of Book, Quantity, Number of Book sold, Details of Buyers, Payments, etc.

On the other hand, Users can register and can log in to the system, shop online, and make payments online.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Online Book Shop System Abstract

With the help of this project, one would be able to manage a Book Shop without facing any issues of maintaining records of a shop manually. To help run a business smoothly have an online system to manage it.

Codebun has developed an Online Book Shop Project in spring boot and hibernate. In this application, there are two primary roles. Admin who will manage overall applications like adding and removing books from the system, and another is the user. Admin can categorize the Books, Add/Remove/Update any Book details, edit prices, View/Confirm/Cancel orders placed, and so on. Admin can keep all the records of the users.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the availability of Books, updating any details related to the Store, managing payments, updating stocks, managing sales, etc.

On the other hand, Users can register and can log in to the system to shop books online and make payments online.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application to the admin.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Book Shop System.
  3. It maintains the record of purchases, availability of Books, and so on.

Modules of Online Book Shop System

Admin Module– This module will allow Admin to log in and log out of the system and manage the system and its functions.

User Module: This module will allow the user to manage all the operations related to the user like user name, contact details, purchase and payment history, etc.

Category: In this module, Books can be categorized by Admin accordingly.

Order: This module will allow the user to purchase books.

Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether the particular Book from a specific category is available in stock or not.

Sales: This module will allow the admin to keep records of the number of Books sold.

Payment Module: In this module, all the payment-related details can be managed.

User Roles of Online Book Shop System

Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User

Admin:

  • Can Log In/Log Out of the system.
  • Admin can View/Edit/Delete Books into the system.
  • Can View/Edit/Delete Book Category into the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel orders placed by the User.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can change prices of Books.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My profiles”.

User:

  • Can Log In/Log Out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can search for Books.
  • Users can Place/Cancel an order.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.
