Online Gas Booking System In Spring Boot And Hibernate With Source Code

The Gas Booking project is designed in spring boot and hibernate along with the source code for the students who are pursuing degrees in the IT field. This project is designed to automate the process of booking a gas cylinder.

Online Gas Booking System Overview

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the bookings and management of the system, delivery of gas cylinders to customers, delivery staff, and their availability. On the other hand, Users can register themselves and book an online gas cylinder using their login credentials.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Online Gas Booking System Abstract

An online gas booking system will make sure users are able to LPG cylinders instead of wandering places to book the same. Among the various LPG providers available, users will be able to find and book the LPG at their convenience. To go and book an LPG cylinder manually is time-consuming. To save time and effort, one can book it online and get it delivered to the doorstep.

Codebun has designed an Online Gas Booking project in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can add/remove/update any details related to the system, update prices of the cylinders, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by users, and so on. Admin can keep all the records of the Users, their details, bookings, payments, etc.

On the other hand, Users can register themselves and then book gas cylinders, make payments online, and get them delivered to the doorstep.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Gas Booking System.
  3. It maintains the record of LPG providers, Users, Payments, Purchase history, etc.

Modules in Online Gas Booking System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking, can check payments, delivery status, etc.

User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, consumer id, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number.

Booking Module: Users can choose the LPG provider and book the gas cylinder in this module.

Category: In this module, Gas cylinders can be categorized according to the LPG providers

Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether the particular gas cylinder from a specific category is available in stock or not.

Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, and Address can be managed by Admin with this module.

Payment: All the payment-related operations can be managed in this module.

User Roles of Online Gas Booking System

Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User

Admin:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Admin can view/edit/delete LPG categories into the system.
  • Admin can view/confirm/cancel booking orders placed by User.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can check availability of gas cylinders in stock.
  • Can change prices of Gas cylinders.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can search for LPG providers in categories.
  • Users can place/cancel an order.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.

Front-End: JSP, Html, CSS, JS.
