Traffic Monitoring System Project Overview
It is a single-role application i.e. it has a single role called Admin. Admin is the main role that will handle the overall application. It can add all the required functionality of adding and deleting traffic routes, police, direction, and so on.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
Traffic Monitoring System Project Abstract
Managing traffic using the same manual approach can lead to a tiresome process. For this, we can replace it with an automatic process using an application. With the help of the application, we can monitor the traffic across a city.
Traffic Monitoring System is a proactive monitoring system that helps to control traffic infractions, avoid traffic accidents, proactively detect potentially dangerous drivers, etc.
So, for this, we on Codebun have developed Traffic Monitoring System Project in spring boot & hibernate to help the Admin to monitor traffic across a city by managing it from a single place. Admin has the functionality of adding a route, and traffic police, and will also have the data of people breaking the rules of traffic. In short, it will be able to monitor traffic systems.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Traffic Monitoring System where all traffic is monitored properly.
- It maintains the record of routes, traffic police detail, and vehicle detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules of Traffic Monitoring System
Admin Module– After registering, Admin can Log-in/Log-out of the application. Admin can ADD/VIEW/DELETE Route details, Traffic details, Traffic Police details, etc. Admin can update information about traffic rule breakers on the system. Admin can monitor all the cameras and maintain the records of daily traffic updates.
Traffic Police Details– All traffic police-related operations can be managed in this module.
Traffic Module– All traffic-related operations can be managed by Admin in this module.
Routes Module– All routes related operations can be managed by Admin in this module.
Vehicle type Module– All the vehicle-related operations can be managed by Admin in this module.
User Roles of Traffic Monitoring System
Here, we have only a single role called Admin. Let us see the functionality.
- Admin can Log-in in to the application.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE Route details.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE Traffic details across the route.
- Admin can also ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE Traffic Police details.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW details of users who break traffic rules.
- Admin can VIEW/UPDATE its Profile details.
- Admin can change password.
