The Transport Management system is built to support all the functionality related to the process of booking, tracking, and managing. We will discuss each aspect of this project in detail for enhanced understanding
Transport Management System Project Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin, and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for updating the system and mentioning information regarding the transports available. This is an application developed to allow Users to book transport systems. Here, Users can just do the booking and track their booking details.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
Transport Management System Project Abstract
So, we on Codebun have developed Transport Management System Project in Spring Boot and Hibernate to help Users book transport from a single place and allow admin to store, retrieve, and manage all the transport detail at a single place.
Admin whose responsibility is to manage the whole application like adding details, adding transport information, booking, etc. Here, the admin will also keep a check on drivers and their license details.
On the other hand, Users can search for transport, book tickets, track booking details, etc. Users can find detailed information about the transport they are looking for along with driver’s details.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the Admin and Users.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Transport Management System Project where the information on transport is managed properly.
- It maintains the record of transport systems, and the customer booking detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules of Transport Management System Project
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage registrations, can check payments, etc. Admin can Add/Remove/Update the details of the transports. Admin can manage all the drivers and their details.
User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view/track their booked tickets, payment status, history, etc.
Booking Module- In this module, Users can book the tickets. Users can see the details of the transport available along with the charges.
Search Module– In this module, users will be able to search for transport like buses, cars, etc for which they require tickets.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments.
Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the ticket is available or not.
Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, journey details, and booking history can be managed by Admin with this module.

This application has two major roles i.e. Admin and Users. Let us see their functionality

- Admin can Add/View/Update/Delete transport like car, bus.
- Admin can Add/View/Update/Delete driver details.
- Can allocate driver to bus, car.
- Admin can view driver’s license details.
- Admin can view all the bookings
- Admin can view all the payment history.
- Can manage “My Profile”.
- Can change password.
2) Users
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Users can view all the transport available.
- Can book from the available list.
- Can make a payment online.
- Users can view booking history.
- Users can view the driver details also.
- Can manage “My Profile”.
- Can change password.
