Vehicle Parking System In Spring Boot And Hibernate With Source Code

Vehicle Parking System in spring boot and hibernate with source code is designed for the final year students who are pursuing degrees in the IT field. This project is configured to automate the process of parking, thereby controlling the whole process online.

The Vehicle Parking System is built to support all the functionality related to vehicle parking. It will help in managing vehicle parking, parking space allotments, issuing parking tickets, etc. Further, we will discuss each aspect of this project in detail for enhanced understanding. 

Vehicles Parking System Overview

It is a multi-role application project 1) Admin 2) User.

It involves Admin as the primary user, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for managing users, keeping in check the bookings of parking slots, parking spaces and slots available, registered users, parked vehicles & their details, and overall management of the system. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, book the parking slot in real-time or in advance, view booking charges and rates, plans, etc.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the frontend, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Vehicles Parking System Abstract

Any business to grow and succeed requires proper thought-out business planning and dedication. An online vehicle parking system is one such modern solution in the parking industry. It helps to tackle the problems faced during manually managed vehicle parking systems by utilizing parking spaces efficiently. It prevents unauthorized access to parking spaces by unknown vehicles and helps in the proper allotment of parking spaces to vehicles.

To make the process of parking management easier, Codebun has designed a Vehicles Parking System in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin being the primary user, can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system.

Admin can allot parking slots, maintain parking slots counts, issue parking tickets, update charges for the parking, View/Confirm/Cancel advance slot reservations, check the availability of parking slots, manage payments, and so on. Admin can manage and keep the records of the Users, Vehicles parked/entered/exited in the parking.

Users can register themselves and then reserve the parking slot, make payments, etc. Users cannot enter/exit the parking space without a parking ticket. A vehicle parking management system will allow owners of the vehicles to make authorized entry and exit of the vehicles, eliminating the risk of damaging their vehicles or getting the vehicles stolen.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Vehicles Parking Management System.
  3. It maintains the record of Parking slots, Users, Vehicle details, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.

Modules in Vehicles Parking System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, issue parking tickets, manage parking slots & their allocations, payments, users, etc.

Admin can keep in check all the Vehicles entering or exiting the parking space with timing and other details.

User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and vehicle details, and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view their booked slots, payment status, history, etc.

Booking Module- In this module, Users can do the booking for parking slots in advance where the User will be allotted a specific parking slot. After successful booking, the User will be issued a parking ticket.

Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.

Availability- In this module, Admin can check parking slots available.

Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, Vehicles details, and booking history can be managed by Admin with this module.

Admin:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Admin can View/Edit/Delete parking details into the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking done by the User.
  • Can manage payments.
  • Can check the availability of parking slots and update the status on the system.
  • Can manage User and Vehicle details.
  • Can issue parking tickets to users.
  • Can change rates of parking charges.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Users can book/cancel parking slots.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.
