The Seminar Hall Booking system is designed in Spring Boot and Hibernate. The project is available with source code for 2nd/3rd/final year IT students for their college projects.
Seminar Hall Booking System Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the booking of seminar halls, and management of the system. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, view and book the hall, view booking charges, rates, plans, etc.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
Seminar Hall Booking System Abstract
Due to the boost in online business, everything from booking tickets to venues is done online. So, why not have a seminar hall booking system. Instead of wandering places to book seminar halls, one can book them online at their convenience. Seminar halls are suitable for both small and large-scale gatherings like lectures, conferences, meetings, training, presentations, and other performances.
This project is designed to automate the process of booking a hall for the seminars and managing the whole process online. It will help in booking seminar halls for both small and large-scale gatherings.
To alleviate the process of online booking, Codebun has designed a Seminar Hall Booking project in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, update prices of the halls & packages, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by Users, and so on.
Admin can manage and keep the records of the Users and can list down and categorize the seminar halls based on the seating arrangements, size, facility, and other features of the hall.
On the other hand, Users can register themselves and then book the hall for the event, explore the venues, make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about the seminar halls & packages on the system after logging in.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Seminar Hall Booking System.
- It maintains the record of seminar halls, Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.
Modules in Seminar Hall Booking System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage hall venues, payments, users, etc.
User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view their booked halls, payment status, history, etc.
Booking Module- In this module, Users can do the booking for the event in advance. Users can mention all the requirements for the seminars in this module while booking.
Category- In this module, Admin can categorize seminar halls accordingly. Basic facilities of seminar halls like air-conditioning systems, sound systems, audio-visual systems, and other necessary equipment, etc can be mentioned in this module category-wise.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.
Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the particular seminar hall for the events is available or not.
Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, Address, and booking history can be managed by Admin with this module.
User Roles of Seminar Hall Booking System

Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage categories in the system.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by the User.
- Can check payments done by User.
- Can manage and check the availability of halls for the events.
- Can change prices of packages for seminar halls and other services.
- Can manage users.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for seminar halls available in categories.
- Users can book the seminar halls, and also can cancel the booking if needed.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
