Auditorium Booking System In Spring Boot And Hibernate With Source Code

The Auditorium Booking system is designed in Spring Boot and Hibernate. The project is available with source code for 2nd/3rd/final year IT students for their college projects.

Auditorium Booking System Overview

It is a multi-role application project i.e. single Admin and multiple User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for keeping a check on the booking of auditoriums, and management of the system. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, view and book the auditorium, view booking charges, and rates, etc.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the frontend, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Auditorium Booking System Abstract

An auditorium is a part of the theatre where the audience sits, sometimes it also means a building or a room. Auditoriums are suitable for both small and large-scale gatherings like lectures, conferences, meetings, training, presentations, and other performances.

Everything from booking tickets to venues is done online. So, why not have an auditorium booking system. Instead of wandering places to book auditoriums, one can book them online at their convenience.

This project is specifically designed to automate the process of booking auditoriums for events and managing the whole process online.

Codebun has designed the Auditorium Booking project in java, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, update prices & packages, View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by Users, and so on. Admin can manage and keep the records of the Users and can list down and categorize the auditorium based on the seating arrangements, size, facility, and other features of the auditorium.

Users can register themselves and then book the auditorium for the event, explore the venues, make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about the Auditoriums & packages on the system after logging in.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Auditorium Booking System.
  3. It maintains the record of Auditoriums, Users, Payments, Bookings & history, etc.

Modules in Auditorium Booking System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage payments, users, etc.

User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Users can view their booked s, payment status, history, etc.

Booking Module- In this module, Users can do the booking for the event in advance. Users can mention all the requirements for the Auditoriums in this module while booking.

Category- In this module, Admin can categorize auditoriums s accordingly. Basic facilities of auditoriums like air-conditioning systems, sound systems, audio-visual systems, and other necessary equipment, etc can be mentioned in this module.

Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the services provided.

Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the particular auditorium for the events is available or not.

Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, Address, and booking history can be managed by Admin with this module.

Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User

Admin:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can manage categories in the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by the User.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can manage and check the availability of s for the events.
  • Can change prices of packages for Auditoriums and other services.
  • Can manage users.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can log in/log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can search for Auditoriums available.
  • Users can book the Auditoriums, and also can cancel the booking if needed.
  • Can make payments online.
  • Can change password.

Front-End: JSP, Html, CSS, JS.
Server-side: Spring Boot.
