Consignment Tracking System is a web-based project that is developed in spring boot and hibernate. This project is available for the final year IT students along with the source code.
In this application, there are multiple modules and each module will be discussed in detail.
Consignment Tracking System Overview
This is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin & User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on consignments, tracking consignments, payments, etc. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, track the consignment, view delivery status, make payments, etc.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
Consignment Tracking System Abstract
Tracking consignments shipping manually is not possible and due to the exponential growth in the businesses, everything has gone online. To make the consignment tracking process hassle-free, an online tracking system is a must.
For that, Codebun has designed Consignment Tracking System in spring boot and hibernate, which has two-main roles i.e. Admin & User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, manage consignments and tracking, manage payments, shipping, and delivery, generate delivery reports, etc.
Users can register themselves, track consignments, check delivery status & details make payments, etc. Users can find detailed information about the consignment & its whereabouts on the system after tracking.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, computerized & robust Consignment Tracking System.
- It maintains the record of consignments & tracking, users, payments, history, reports, etc.
Modules in Consignment Tracking System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can manage & track consignments, manage users, manage payments, etc. Admin can generate reports of consignment-related operations and maintain records of consignment.
User Module– In this module, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact numbers. Users can view their consignment details, the Delivery status of the consignment, payment status, history, etc.
Registration Module- In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, address, etc.
Tracking Module– Tracking-related operations can be performed in this module.
Payment Module– All the payment operations can be managed in this module.
Consignment Module– This module will help to manage all the consignments.
User Roles of Consignment Tracking System
Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage consignments in the system.
- Admin can update and track consignments.
- Can manage consignment deliveries.
- Can manage users and their details.
- Can manage payments.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for consignment.
- Can track the consignment.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
