Old Product Selling System In Java Using JSP And Servlet With Source Code is available for 3rd/final year students for their college projects. This project is developed to allow Admin to manage the system, the listing of old products whereas Users have to register themselves and purchase the old or second-hand products, etc.
Old Product Selling System Overview
It is a multi-role application project i.e. single Admin and multiple User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system, managing users, orders placed by users, and the availability of products. On the other hand, Users can register themselves, log in using the login credentials, and order products online.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
Old Product Selling System Abstract
Selling old or second-hand products online is a great way of saving money. Besides being pocket-friendly, it supports the environment too by reducing consumption of resources, pollution, and manufacturing cost.
Maintaining an e-commerce website is challenging. Having an online system to manage and sell a vast collection of products can prove to be beneficial for the business.
Codebun has designed an Old Product Selling project in java, which has two main roles i.e Admin and User. Admin being the primary user. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the products like product usage, condition, expiry dates if any, update prices of the products, can categorize, maintain products databases, View/Confirm/Cancel orders placed by Users, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Users.
On the other hand, Users can register themselves and then place their orders, make payments online, and get the purchased items delivered to the doorstep. Users can find detailed information about old products on the system after logging in.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Old Product Selling System.
- It maintains the record of old products & their availability, Users, Payments, Orders & history, etc.
Modules in Old Product Selling System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel orders, manage products/product categories, details, and availability, can manage users, payments, etc.
User Module– In this module, a user can register themselves first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number.
Search Module- Product searching operations by the user will be managed in this module.
Category- In this module, Admin can categorize products accordingly. Admin can mention details of each product properly while maintaining categories.
Payment Module- In this module, Users can make payments for the products purchased.
Availability- In this module, Admin can check whether the particular product is available in stock or not.
Order Module- In this module, Users can place an order.
Users Record: Details of Users like a Name, Contact Number, Address, Order history, and payments can be managed by Admin in this module.

Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can View/Edit/Delete products and their details.
- Can View/Edit/Delete categories into the system.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel orders placed by the User.
- Can check payments done by User.
- Can change prices of products.
- Can manage users.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My profiles”.
User:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can search for products from a specific category.
- Users can Place/Cancel an order.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
