This Web application is develop to provide users with an online medium where customers can order different types of cakes. There are multiple roles in this application. One is the Admin, who will manage the overall application and another one is the user or customers who can order cakes.

This project has all the necessary functionality that an Online Cake Ordering System application should have. It is develop to support all roles, whether it is Admin or Customers.

The overall project is design using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e Model, View, and Controller). The business logic is done on the Model side, We have used JSP to manage the frontend, and to handle the request and response we have used a Controller i.e Servlet.

Online Cake Ordering System Project in Java

Cake ordering System provides us the interface where customers can view all the cakes available. Customers can order any cake by being at home. There should be a system where the cake ordered can be delivered to their doorstep.

So, we on Codebun have developed an Online Cake Ordering System project in Java where customers can buy cake online. Here, this application is developed to support two roles. One is the admin who will add different categories of cake and another user is the customer who will order cakes from this system.

The following are the major objective of this application:

1. To provide a bug-free application to the admin or customers.
2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Cake Ordering Project where the information of cake is managed properly.
3. It maintains the record of cakes, customer order detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.

Modules and Functionalities of Online Cake Ordering System

There are two main roles in this application. These are Admin and Customer. Let us see the functionality of each.

1) Admin

• Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE cakes category.
• Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE type of cake
• It can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE cakes under the category.
• Admin can VIEW/REJECT/APPROVE order detail of customers.
• Admin can VIEW payment detail of customers.
• It can VIEW all the list of customers registered.

2) Customer

• Customers can VIEW all the categories of cakes.
• Customers can VIEW all the types of cakes.
• It can Order any cake from the available list.
• Customers can VIEW their order detail.
• Customers can make payments online.
• It can also VIEW payment history.

NOTE: The profile section, log-in, and registration features are common to all users in the system.
