This is a web application developed to create a news portal. Here, users can read news of their favorite category. Admin is the user who will add news to the application using add news feature. Also, it can view the category list of news which are most viewed.
This Project has all the necessary functionality from adding, deleting news from the system. It is developed to support all roles, whether it is admin or user.
The whole project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e Model, View, and Controller). The business logic is done on the Model side, We have used JSP to manage the frontend, and to handle the request and response we have used a Controller i.e Servlet.
Online News Portal Project in Java
Having an online news portal is very much important nowadays as it can reach more audiences/users. And, nowadays, users want everything based on their convenience. For example, if a user wants to see sports news then he/she can view it on the application instead of buying the print.
So, for this, we on Codebun have developed an Online News Portal project in Java where the news would be easily accessible to the registered users. In this application, we have two main roles i.e admin and users. Admin will add all the news related to the category and the user will view it.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin or users.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online News Portal Project where the information is managed properly.
- It maintains the record of news, user, category of news efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules and Functionalities of Online News Portal Project
There are two main roles in this application. These are Admin and User. Let us see the functionality of each.
1) Admin
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE news category.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE news detail.
- It can VIEW news which is most viewed.
- Admin can VIEW all the registered users.
- Admin can VIEW all the feedbacks.
2) User
- Users can VIEW all the categories of news.
- Users can ADD feedbacks.
NOTE: The profile section, log-in, and registration features are common to all users in the system.
