Online School Fees Payment System Project in Java
This is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and Student, where Admin will have the main control over the system.
Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on Students, School Fees Payments, generating invoices for Students, etc. On the other hand, Students can register, log in using the login credentials, and pay their Fees online.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
Online School Fees Payment System Abstract
Online School Fees Payment systems can replace the redundant manual School Fees Payment systems which lacked efficacy in generating and managing fees and overall is a hectic process.
Codebun has designed an Online School Fees Payment system project in java using JSP and Servlet, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and Student. Admin is the primary User. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any details related to the system, generate Fees & invoices for the Students, and View/Confirm/Cancel payments done by Students, and so on. Admin can keep the records of the Students and their details.
Students can register on the portal using their name, student, and other valid details and documents, pay online, download Fees & invoices, etc. Students can find detailed information about the calculated charges & taxes included in the Fees, pending Fees, etc on the system after logging in.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application.
- The main aim is to build a secured, robust Online School Fees Payment System.
- It maintains the record of Students, Payments, & history, etc.
Modules in Online School Fees Payment System
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in and manage the system and its functions. Admin can generate Fees & invoices for the Student, manage existing Students, View/Confirm/Cancel registration requests, manage fees & payments, etc.
Admin can send School Fees Payment & payment reminder emails to registered Students in case any Student has failed to pay their Fees on time. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel payment requests by the Student
Student Module– In this module can manage their profile. The Student module will allow students to log in/log out of the system. Students can view their Fees, payment status, history, etc.
Registration Module- Students can register first using their name, contact number, address, and other details.
School Fees Module- In this module, operations related to Fees can be managed.
Payment Module- All the payment-related operations can be managed.
Download Module- Students can download Fees & invoices in this module.
Details of Student- Details of a Student like a Name, Contact Number, Address, student id, Fees, & payment history can be managed by Admin with this module.

Admin:
- Can Log in/Log out of the system.
- Admin can manage Students.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel registration requests by the Student.
- Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel payment requests by the Student.
- Can check payments done by Student.
- Can generate fees & invoices.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profiles”.
Student:
- Can log in/log out of the system.
- Can Manage “My profile”.
- Can pay fees online.
- Can download payment receipts.
- Can make payments online.
- Can change password.
