In this application, there are two major roles i.e. Admin & Student. Admin who will manage the overall application. Whereas students will enroll in a course. This is a web application developed to allow students to enroll in a particular course. Then the admin of the application can accept or reject the enrollment requests.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Student Enrollment System Abstract

Student Enrollment System will make sure that every detail related to the course is managed properly. Students would find the process of enrolling for any particular course online rather than having to visit the actual place.

Therefore, we on Codebun have developed Student Enrollment System Project in spring boot and hibernate to manage the enrollment process. Here, there are multiple modules like one module for course, payments, and of course, student enrollment all these would be managed by the admin of the application.

Admin is the primary user and can manage the overall application. Admin will be responsible for updating the system. Admin can add students, courses, etc. Admin can manage the enrollment request made by students.

On the other hand, students can register on the portal and view all the courses available for enrollment.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application to the admin and students.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Student Enrollment System Project where the information of students and courses is managed properly.
  3. It maintains the record of the courses, and the student’s enrollment detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.

Modules of Student Enrollment System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Add/Remove courses, manage enrollments, manage students, etc.

Student Module– Students can manage their profiles. The user module will allow students to log in to the system using their names & contact number. Students can view their courses and registrations.

Registration Module- In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address.

Enrollment Module- All the enrollment-related operations can be managed in this module. Students can enroll in any course.

Course Module- Admin will Add/Remove/Update courses in the system. Admin can mention details regarding every course thoroughly. Also, students will also be able to view courses.

Payment Module- All the payment-related operations can be managed in this module

Details of Students – All the student details can be managed by Admin with this module.

User Roles of Student Enrollment System Project

1) Admin

  • Admin can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE new courses.
  • Can VIEW/CONFIRM/CANCEL enrollment requests.
  • Admin can mention course fees and other details.
  • Admin can update seat availability for the course.
  • Admin can manage registered students.
  • Can manage payments.
  • Can manage “My Profile”.

2) Students

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Students can Search/VIEW all the list of courses.
  • Students can enroll in courses.
  • Can check course fees.
  • Can check seat availability for courses.
  • Can manage “My Profile”.
