Vehicle Rental System In Spring Boot And Hibernate With Source Code

The Vehicle Rental System project in spring boot and hibernate is configured to computerize the management process of the Vehicle renting. This project is designed for both third-year and final-year students and is available with source code.

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the availability of Vehicles, updating any details related to the Store, managing payments, etc. On the other hand, Users can register themselves and can log in to the system, rent a Vehicle, and make payments online.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Vehicle Rental System Abstract

The Vehicle Rental System is built to support all the functionality related to the process of renting, tracking, booking, and payment. We will discuss each aspect of this project in detail for enhanced understanding. It will allow the business owner to easily manage the renting and tracking of the vehicles online.

Codebun has designed this Vehicle Rental System Project in spring boot and hibernate to allow users to rent Vehicles using an online system. Here, there are two main roles in this application. Admin is the primary user that will add/delete/update vehicle information. Admin can allot users a time slot/period and charge for the same. Admin can manage all the rentals and payments for the same. Admin can track all the Vehicles. Admin can categorize vehicles according to their types.

Users can view the available vehicles and can rent them. Also, users can check the availability of vehicles directly with a simple login to the page. Users can then pick up the Vehicle from the stop and start the ride by entering the location points on the portal.

The following are the major objective of this application:
1. To provide a bug-free application.
2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Vehicle Rental System.
3. It maintains the record of Vehicles, bookings, rents, users, and so on.

Modules of Vehicle Rental System

Admin: This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE different vehicle details. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel bookings, manage registrations, can check payments, etc.

Registration: This module will allow users to first register into the system using their names, contact numbers, and Mail IDs, and set passwords.

User: The user can log in/ log out to the system using the registered name and password. Users can manage their profiles and rental history.

Category: In this module, Vehicles can be categorized by Admin according to their types, brand names, models, etc.

Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether the particular Vehicle from a specific category is available for rent.

Rental: All operations related to renting a Vehicle can be managed in this module. Users can rent a vehicle of their choice. Users can do an advance booking.

Payment: All operations related to payments done by users can be managed in this module.
