Laptop Shop Management System in Java using JSP and Servlet with Source Code

The Laptop Shop Management System project is developed in Java to automate the day-to-day management of a laptop shop. It helps the Admin manage laptop details, stock, prices, sales, and buyer records from a single system.

This project is suitable for third-year and final-year Computer Science and IT students. The complete project is available with free source code and can be used as a college minor or major project.

The Laptop Shop Management System is a single-role application with one main role: Admin. The Admin has complete control over the application and can manage laptop categories, laptop names and model numbers, prices, stock quantity, sold laptops, and buyer details.

The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap are used. JDBC API is used for database connectivity, while MySQL is used as the database. The project follows the MVC (Model View Controller) design pattern.

Laptop Shop Management System in Java

Managing a laptop shop manually can require a lot of time and effort. Maintaining records of laptops, stock, prices, sales, and buyers using notebooks or spreadsheets can also make it difficult to keep information organized.

The Laptop Shop Management System provides a simple solution for managing these activities through a web-based application. A laptop shop can have different types of laptops, such as gaming laptops, business laptops, portable laptops, MacBooks, and convertible laptops. Each laptop may have different specifications, prices, and availability.

With this project, the Admin can manage laptop shop information from a single place. The Admin can add new laptops, update existing laptop details, remove laptops, check stock availability, manage prices, and maintain records of laptops that have been sold.

Codebun has developed this Laptop Shop Management System project in Java to help automate the basic operations of a laptop shop and make record management easier.

Major Objectives of the Laptop Shop Management System

The major objectives of this application are:

  1. To provide a simple and user-friendly system for managing a laptop shop.
  2. To reduce the effort required to maintain shop records manually.
  3. To manage laptop categories, prices, stock, and sales from a single system.
  4. To maintain buyer and purchase records.
  5. To keep track of available and sold laptops.
  6. To develop a structured and organized Laptop Shop Management System using Java web technologies.

Modules of Laptop Shop Management System

Admin Login

The Admin can log in to the system and access all the features available for managing the laptop shop.

Laptop Category

This module allows the Admin to manage different laptop categories. For example, laptops can be categorized as Gaming, Business, Portable, Convertible, and other categories.

Laptop Name and Model Number

The Admin can add and manage laptop names and model numbers. This makes it easier to identify and manage different laptops available in the shop.

Laptop Availability

This module allows the Admin to check the availability of laptops in stock. The Admin can maintain the quantity of laptops available for sale.

Price Management

The Admin can manage the prices of different laptops. Laptops with different specifications and price ranges can be maintained through the system.

Buyer Details

This module allows the Admin to maintain the details of buyers for purchases made through the system.

Sold Laptops

The Admin can maintain records of laptops that have been sold. This helps keep track of sales and the number of laptops sold.

Purchase Records

The system can be used to maintain purchase-related information, including buyer details and the date and time of the purchase.

Admin Role

The Laptop Shop Management System has a single role: Admin.

The Admin can:

  • Log in and log out of the system.
  • Manage laptop categories.
  • Add new laptops.
  • Edit laptop details.
  • Delete laptop details.
  • Manage laptop names and model numbers.
  • Manage laptop prices.
