Book Store Management Project Overview
It is developed for a single user i.e. admin. Admin will manage the overall application. This web application is developed to manage the activity of the Book stores. The important objective is to have an application where the Book shop owner can add products, and view total sales. This project has all the necessary functionality from adding and deleting Book products from the system.
The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.
Book Store Management Project Abstract
Book store management is an implementation of storing, tracking, and maintaining the Book store. In turn, this helps the business owner keep track of the sales, and profitability of a business.
Sometimes, managing stores with a manual approach can be a tiresome process. There should be an application with simple functionality that can be understandable by a non-technical person like Book store owners. The application should be able to add products, generate bills, view sale history, and so on.
Therefore, we on Codebun have developed Book Store Management Project in spring boot & hibernate to handle all the processes of adding books, viewing sales, etc. This application has a single user i.e. admin who will manage the overall application. This web application is developed to manage the activity of the Book stores. The important objective is to have an application where the Book shop owner can add books, and view total sales.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Book Store Management Project where the information on Books is managed properly.
- It maintains the record of Books, stocks, payments, and sales details efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules of Book Store Management Project
Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can Add/Remove/Update Books, manage Book categories, details, and availability, can manage users, payments, etc.
Admin can add/remove stocks. Admin can track the sales activity and also, the growth of the store.
Category: In this module, Books can be categorized accordingly.
Stock Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether Books from a specific category is available in stock or not. Admin can Add/Remove/Update stocks with the help of this module.
Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Number, and Purchase history can be managed with this module.
Payment Module- Payment-related operations can be performed by the Admin in this module.
Sold Quantity: This module will allow the Admin to keep records of the number of items that have been sold.
