Online Food Ordering System in spring boot and hibernate with Source Code. This project is designed for both third-year and final-year students and is available with source code.

Online Food Ordering System Overview

It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the main control over the system.

Admin will be responsible for maintaining the system and also, keeping a check on the orders and management of the system, delivery of food to customers, delivery staff, and their availability. On the other hand, users can register, log in using the login credentials, and order food online.

The overall project is designed using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e. Model, View, and Controller). In the Backend, it is using Spring Boot, at the data access layer the project is using Hibernate Framework, and at the front end, we are using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. The Database used here is MYSQL.

Online Food Ordering System Abstract

With the help of this project, one would be able to manage a Food Shop without facing any issues of maintaining it manually.

Codebun has designed an Online Food Ordering project in spring boot and hibernate, which has two main roles i.e. Admin and User. Admin is the primary user. Admin can categorize the different food dishes, add/remove/update any food, edit prices of the dishes, view/confirm/cancel orders placed by users, accept payments online, and so on. Admin can keep all the records of the Users.

On the other hand, Users can add one or more food dishes of their choice to the cart, make payments online, and get delivered to their doorstep.

The following are the major objective of this application:

  1. To provide a bug-free application.
  2. The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Food Ordering System.
  3. It maintains the record of Users, Orders, Payments, Purchase history, etc.

Modules in Online Food Ordering System

Admin Module- This module will allow Admin to log in to the system and manage the system and its functions. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel orders, can manage payments, etc.

User Module– In this module, a user can register first using their name, contact number, and address and also, can manage their profile. The user module will allow users to log in to the system using their names & contact number.

Order Module: In this module after logging in, Users can order Food and get the Food delivered to the registered address. In this module Food orders, quantity, etc can be managed.

Menu: Admin can manage and maintain all the menus and food categories in this module.

Payment Module: In this module, Users can make payments for their orders.

Availability: In this module, Admin can check whether the particular food dish from a specific category is available in stock or not.

Sales: In this module, Admin can manage the number of Foods sold.

Details of User: Details of a User like a Name, Contact Numbers, and Addresses can be managed by Admin in this module.

Two users can interact with this application 1) Admin 2) User

Admin:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Admin can View/Edit/Delete Food menus into the system.
  • Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel booking orders placed by the User.
  • Can check payments done by User.
  • Can check the availability of Food in stock.
  • Can change prices of Food.
  • Can change password.
  • Can manage “My Profiles”.

User:

  • Can Log in/Log out of the system.
  • Can Manage “My profile”.
  • Can search for Food in categories.
  • Can see menus.
  • Users can Place/Cancel an order.
  • Can make Payments online.
  • Can change password.
