Smart City Information System Project in Java using JSP, Servlet, and MYSQL. This is once again a mini project on our codebun website with both source code and project report.
This is a web application where all the information of a city is available in a single place. It is mainly develop for those people who are tourists and wants to explore the city. In this application, there are basically two major roles. One is the Admin who will be adding all the information that will keep the application updated. Another role is the user who will view this information.
This Project has all the necessary functionality from adding, deleting, managing the city’s information from the system. It is develop to support all roles, i.e admin & users.
This project is develop using MVC architecture (MVC i.e Model, View, and Controller). At the view layer, we are using JSPs that will generate dynamic web pages, while business logic is done on the model side, and at last, the controller is used to handle request and response objects. We have used the JDBC at the data access layer.
Smart City Information System Project in Java
It is important to keep the information of the group of cities at a single place. It would help both the citizen as well as the tourist coming visit to the city. For this purpose, we need a smart city application where we can keep all this information. For eg, if a person from city X is visiting city Y then, he/she can view the information of places on this application and can easily visit places on their own.
So, we on Codebun have develop Smart City Information System Project in Java to maintain all the information of banks, tourist spot, ATMs, and etc. Here, it is develop for two major roles. One is the Admin who will manage the whole application and another one is the user who will view this information.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin and users.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust City Information System Project where the information of banks, ATMs, schools, and etc. is managed properly.
- It maintains the record of the city’s tourist places, the user detail efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules and Functionalities of Smart City Information System Project
This application has two major roles i.e Admin and Users. Let us see their functionality
1) Admin
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE City.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE type of information under the city.
- It can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE places details.
2) User
- Users can VIEW information about all the city.
- Users can VIEW places details.
- It can VIEW all the types of details available.
NOTE: The profile section, log-in, and change password features are also present in the system.
