This Web application is develop to sell medicine online using an application. Here, the admin who is the main user of this application will add medicine information into the system. Another user is the customer, who will buy medicine based on their needs.
This project has all the necessary functionality. It is develop to support all the roles, whether it is admin or customer. The whole project is design using the MVC pattern (MVC i.e Model, View, and Controller). The business logic is done on the Model side, We have used JSP to manage the frontend, and to handle the request and response we have used a Controller i.e Servlet.

Today, in the online era, it is necessary to have a medium where the customer can buy medicine online. The interface of the application should be as simple as so that a non-tech person can easily buy medicine. So, if we have a proper application to sell medicines then it will help both the store owner and customers.
Therefore, we on Codebun have develop an Online Medicine Store Project in Java using JSP and Servlet technology. Here, we have majorly two roles such as Admin and Customer. Admin who is the main user of this application who will add medicine types, medicine Information, and etc. Another role is that of customers who will buy the medicine.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin as well as the customer.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust Online Medicine Store where the medicines are managed properly.
- It maintains the record of customers, medicines, buyers efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules and Functionalities of Online Medicine Store Project
There are two main users of this application. One is the Admin whose responsibility is to manage medicines and policies and another role is that of the customer who will buy the medicine.
1) Admin
- Admin can VIEW the User List.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE type of medicine.
- It can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE medicine detail.
- Admin can VIEW Order detail of the customer.
- Admin can VIEW Payment done by the customer.
2) Customer
- Customers can VIEW the Type/Category of medicine.
- Customers can VIEW information about the medicine.
- It can Buy/Add to Cart medicine.
- Customers can make Online Payments.
- Customers can VIEW Order details.
NOTE: The profile section, log-in, and registration features are common to all users in the system.
