E-newspaper Portal Project in java using JSP and Servlet available with the Source Code. It is designed for both third-year and final-year students for college projects and is available with source code.
E-newspaper Project in Java
It is a multi-role application project i.e. Admin and User, where Admin will have the primary control over the system.
Here, there are two main users in this application. Admin can add/delete/update an e-newspaper, view comments. Whereas users can View/Read e-newspapers based on the category, add/view/delete comments, etc.
The whole project is developed using Servlet and JSP. At the front end, we have used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. At the data access layer, we have used JDBC API. The Database used here is MYSQL. The whole project is following the MVC (Model View & Controller) design pattern.
E-newspaper System Project Abstract
E-newspaper are easier to access and cost-efficient. The readers can save their money on the newspaper. The readers can select any category of the news as per their interest.
Hence, Codebun has developed E-newspaper Portal Project in java using JSP and Servlet. This application supports two main roles in this application i.e. Admin & User. Admin is the primary user. Admin will add, update, delete the e-newspaper, e-newspaper category, comments, and etc. Admin can Add/Remove/Update any e-newspaper, category, and maintain databases.
On the other hand, Users can View/Read e-newspapers based on the category, add/view/delete comments, etc.
The following are the major objective of this application:
- To provide a bug-free application to the admin or users.
- The main objective is to build a secured, robust E-newspaper Portal Project where the information of the e-newspaper is managed properly.
- It maintains the record of e-newspapers, and user comments efficiently so that it would be easy to access at any time 24*7.
Modules of E-newspaper Portal Project
Admin Module- Admin can log in/log out of the system. Admin can Add/Remove/Update E-newspapers to the system. Admin can manage all the registered users and keep the records of each user. Admin can View/Confirm/Cancel registration done by Users.
User module- The user can log in/log out of the system. Users can search for e-newspapers, view different categories of e-newspapers, and can find detailed information on the system after logging in. Users can Read/View e-newspaper posts. Users can post comments.
Registration Module- Users can register on the portal, and log in using the login credentials.
Category Module- E-newspaper can be categorized accordingly.
E-newspaper Module- All the e-newspaper operations can be managed in this module.
User Roles of E-newspaper Portal Project
There are two main roles in this application. These are Admin and User. Let us see the functionality of each.
1) Admin
- Admin can Log In/Log Out of the system.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/DELETE e-newspaper.
- Admin can ADD/VIEW/UPDATE/DELETE news under the category.
- Admin can VIEW/DELETE comments.
- Admin can manage all the registered users.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profile”.
2) User
- Users can Log In/Log Out of the system.
- Users can read e-newspaper.
- Users can VIEW all the categories of news.
- Users can ADD/VIEW/DELETE comments.
- Can change password.
- Can manage “My Profile”.
